Labor Day Festivities

Labor Day 2012

Looking for things to do in Savannah for Labor Day Weekend? You’re in luck! The Labor Day festivities will be in full swing on River Street Savannah and beautiful Tybee Island. From Friday, August 30 until Sunday, September 1, River Street will be all decked out with talented vendors, live entertainment, arts & crafts, food, cold drinks and River Street’s more than one hundred shops, restaurants and pubs. There is no better way to spend a relaxing Labor Day weekend than this fun and FREE event with Savannah’s beautiful waterfront as your backdrop.

Looking to cool down? Enjoy the ocean breezes, live music and fireworks from the majestic Tybee Pier & Pavilion at the Sixth Annual Tybee Island Labor Day Beach Bash featuring free live entertainment by the Swingin’ Medallions on Sunday, September 1. The Labor Day Beach Bash fireworks display can be enjoyed from the pier, the beach or anywhere on Tybee Island after dark (around 9:15 p.m.). This popular annual event is free and open to the public. We hope you choose to spend your Labor Day holiday with us, and if you’re visiting from out of town, we’d like to personally invite you to stay in one of our preferred downtown Savannah hotels, several of which are located in the heart of our Historic District and near many of the best attractions in Savannah.
