In Life's a Beach, one of Britain's most beloved photographers takes us on a color-saturated journey through a place loved by all: the seaside. Intrigued by the general absurdities and local quirks of beachgoing, Martin Parr has photographed beaches across the world for many decades, creating images that range from closeups of sunbathers to shots of rambunctious swimmers caught mid-plunge. This exhibition presents photos of beachgoers on far-flung shores, including those of Argentina, Brazil, China, Spain, Italy, Latvia, Japan, the United States, Mexico, Thailand, and, of course, the artist’s native England.

This 10-Day celebration of Savannah\'s restaurant scene pays homage to the culinary heritage that makes our city unique - and is held in tribute to the restaurants that are becoming such a vital part of Savannah\'s tradition of hospitality!

From July 24 - August 2, 2015, each participating upscale restaurant will offer a spectacular 3-course, prix fixe dinner menu for only $30 per person (not including tax and gratuity).

It\'s an opportunity that would have likely been heralded by Englishman James Oglethorpe, who is credited with identifying the site of present day Savannah and laying out its now famous and inviting squares. Those defining moments ultimately contributed to the development of Savannah and was the catalyst for our now ever-expanding array of dining options and remarkable chefs.

Reservations are recommended. Peruse the participating restaurants to learn more about their offerings and how to book your table. Also, explore options for discounted hotel accommodations during Savannah Restaurant Week.

Just imagine, on a warm summer Savannah morning: you just spent an entire hour focusing on your breathing, stretching those hamstrings, opening up your hips, and strengthening your core. You're lying flat on your back, arms out at a 45 degree angle, and eyes closed in a deep relaxed shavasana. You're sinking into the foam mat beneath you, your mind clears and the salty breeze brushes your forehead. The ripples in the water are gently splashing against the pylons then washing to shore. This puts you in a state of mind you want to forever stay in. From head to toe your body thanks you for its treatment...Namaste.

OK - back to reality...this will be you very soon on the Tybee Island Pier! SAVE THE DATES for these 3 unforgettable yoga classes instructed by Biza Mabry.
