Savannah’s dining scene is always growing and we’re proud to live in the midst of such a culinary melting pot with so much variety. Whether you’re a local looking for something new to try this weekend or you’re visiting Savannah soon, we’ve got the lowdown on the best new restaurants in the area!  Here are four of our favorite spots to try this fall.

Take a stroll through Ellis Square to the adorable Little Duck Diner, from popular local restaurant group Ele and The Chef, who own six fantastic restaurants in the greater Savannah area. Named for the owner’s children, Little Duck’s menu consists of their little ducklings’ favorites.

Here you’ll find such delights as milkshakes and chocolate chip pancakes alongside the Bi Bim Bop Bowl which consists of steak, Japanese rice, chili garlic sauce, onion, daikon, pickled carrots, kimchi, crispy nori and fried cage-free egg. Before you leave, grab a Lavender Bubble Bath Bellini to-go, complete with a miniature rubber ducky!

After brunch, jump on a trolley tour with Old Savannah Tours or visit one of Savannah’s many museums. When it’s time for lunch, head over to The Diplomat Luncheonette on Drayton Street.

This casual, counter-service shop has been open almost a year and has become a favorite with locals for their weekday grab-and-go “sando”. Trust us and try the California King: turkey, bacon, avocado, sprouts, and miso mayo, served on Foccacia.

They also serve pizza, salads, and vegetarian bowls. Seating is limited, so we recommend taking yours to-go and heading to nearby Chippewa or Lafayette Square. Also note, they offer delivery so you can enjoy your lunch while sitting poolside at one of our preferred hotel locations!

At 9 Drayton Street you’ll find The Fitzroy, the latest offering from the owners of local favorites The Collins Quarter and The Deck. An Australian-inspired gastropub that packs a punch, The Fitzroy stands alone with a menu all its own.

Going for brunch? Try the Ricotta Hotcake, Australia’s most Instagrammed dish. For dinner we suggest the Korean Tomahawk Short Rib, served with crispy fingerling potatoes, grilled bok choy, and kimchi, but be forewarned, this dish sells out quickly! If the weather is nice, head to the rooftop where the full menu is available to enjoy in a beautiful, unique space with covered, outdoor seating.

Step off Whitaker St. and into the 1920s at the new Savannah Spirits Chop House.  Anyone with a love of rum and history should make a visit to this fine dining establishment specializing in cocktails, steaks, and seafood.

The existing building is composed of four buildings constructed in the mid-1800’s that have been transformed into a rum distillery and restaurant. Sit near the bar so you can see the distillery in action!

Wherever you dine in Savannah, you’re sure to experience world class service and incomparable southern flavors. Tag your photos with #stayinsavannah and tell us about your newest favorite!
