    Savannah Historic District

Savannah is one of the oldest cities in the United States, and it’s arguably the most beautiful. Centuries old architecture is nestled along cobblestone streets steeped in history and accessorized with moss-draped oaks that only grow more beautiful in the sultry heat that Savannah enjoys throughout the majority of the year.

Savannah’s historic district is nestled in about 2 square miles, and contains 22 intricately planned squares, which means that it has a lot to see and enjoy. Our favorite way to see it all is with the help of a trolley tour.

Old Savannah Tours has quite the cast of characters!

Old Savannah Tours is our favorite way to get around Savannah’s historic district. They have a tour option for everyone and anyone who wants to experience our city through the skilled eyes of a local.

Their 70 minute Express Tour, or their 90 minute Historic Overview Tour are perfect for a visitor who is short on time and wants to get a quick overview of our town. For the visitor who wants to explore Savannah on their own, we recommend their Historic On/Off Tour. This allows trolley riders to disembark the trolley and rejoin as many times as they want throughout the day.

After sunset, the Grave Encounters tour takes riders to Savannah’s notorious haunts. It’s the perfect way to hear Savannah’s favorite ghost stories with a front row seat.

Let the fun begin! We’re all set for our trolley tour!

We recently joined Old Savannah Tours for a 90 minute tour. That afternoon we rediscovered our own city, and learned so much about some of our favorite places. Some fun guests hopped on board to give us an even closer look into their part of Savannah’s history. Forrest Gump, Rosie the Riveter, a member of the Gullah-Geechee community, and an honest to goodness southern belle popped in to fully immerse us in Savannah’s rich cultural experience.

Rosie the Riveter jumped on our trolley to say hello!
