The 2017 Gray’s Reef Film Festival includes the Tybee Post Theater in its acclaimed film series this year. In this year’s theme, “Our Community, Our Ocean,” we explore the link between the preservation of our community and conservation of our ocean along with featuring the incredible wonders of the ocean!
Tybee’s great partnership with the Gray’s Reef continues following the strong turnout at our seven-week summer film series at the Post. The Film Festival screenings at the Post include a variety of wonderful films from the San Francisco International Ocean Film Festival. They include: “Whale Aware,” “A Plastic Sea,” “You’re Not Hallucinating, That’s Just Squid Skin,” and finally, “Two Miles Deep,” syndicated cartoonist Jim Toomey (“Sherman’s Lagoon”) dive to the bottom of the Gulf of Mexico. Through live action film and animation, we discover a world full of beauty and complexity.
