Description: Experience the holiday season through history with a powerful evening tour at the Davenport House Museum, presented in partnership with Patt Gunn and Underground Tours. Featuring the Saltwata Players, this immersive program explores what Christmas was like for the enslaved workers who lived in the home during the 1820s. Through song, dance, foodways, and spirituality, guests will gain a deeper understanding of holiday traditions within Savannah’s enslaved community. Join us for an evening of reflection, storytelling, and cultural insight that honors the resilience and spirit of those who shaped our shared past.
