Mamie Ruth | M.Liz Studios and Boutique invite all to attend Saving Brains and Taking Names. Next Thursday evening they will be hosting a fundraiser-meets-pep rally event to help boost friend and fellow Savannahian Meta Adler past the finish line to meet her $40,000 fundraising goal for the Alzheimer’s Association and Dancing Stars of Coastal GA.
The assembly of sorts will incorporate a silent auction and percentage night for shopping at the store itself as well as with guest pop-ups including Savannah Succulents, Capital Bee Company, JL the Brand, and Glo On The Go 912. To set the stage for a spirit-inducing experience, guests are encouraged to dress in their best 80s gear to support Adler.
Fundraising with partner makers and nonprofit organizations is part of the store’s growing mission to build meaningful relationships with the area’s talented pool of community leaders. Co-owners Emily Bargeron and Mary Liz Craft operate under the premise that success is achieved through championing others who are also working hard to pursue their ambitions.
Craft commented on her commitment to paying it forward,
“When I was very new to the business and didn’t have my own space, I used to sell my jewelry (literally) out of my car. Then once I met Emily (Bargeron), she invited me to have trunk shows at her studio. This was a game changer and allowed me to have the exposure and credibility I needed to get to the next step.” Not to mention the springboard it provided for a successful business partnership which would have otherwise never materialized.
The event will be held on Thursday, May 25 from 6-9pm at Mamie Ruth | M.Liz Studios & Boutique in Historic Downtown Savannah. It is open to the public and will offer an upbeat environment for extended hours of shopping, hors d’oeuvres, drinks, and a chance to give back. All proceeds will be donated directly to the Alzheimer’s Association and stay within the local area to benefit those affected by Alzheimer’s disease.
