Whether you love to compete, or just want to come out and support the runners, you’ll find a race inspire, challenge, and make you smile. Here are just a few of our favorites!

    Tunnel to Towers 5K Run and Walk
    Sept. 7, 2019

    On Sept. 11, 2001, Stephen Siller of Brooklyn’s Squad 1, drove to the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel. Although the tunnel was closed, Siller raced on foot to the Twin Towers, carrying his 60 lbs of gear with him. Siller tragically lost his life that day while saving others. This race honors his sacrifice by following in his footsteps in events across the country. Book your stay at the DoubleTree Savannah Historic District with the hotel’s group rate.

    The Fast and the Furriest 8K-9
    Sept. 28, 2019

    This 8K run at Skidaway Island State Park is specifically designed for our four-legged friends and those who love them. Dog owners can race with their pets, while dog lovers can opt to run solo. All dog participants will receive a finisher’s medal and bandana. After the race, grab a hotdog from the Naked Dog Food Truck and enjoy a relaxing massage from Fetch Canine Rehab!

    Rock ‘n’ Roll Marathon
    Nov. 2-3, 2019

    Savannah’s most famous and well-attended race, this rocking runner’s event is the musical marathon experience of a lifetime. Run through Savannah’s historic downtown and enjoy a grand finish line music festival in Forsyth Park. Not quite ready for a full marathon? Choose from the half-marathon, 5K, or 1-mile race options!     Baker’s Pride Challenge
    Nov. 9, 2019

    Donut lovers unite! Part race, part eating contest, this challenge is divided by how many donuts you plan to eat midway through the run. Choose to consume up to 6 donuts (or donut holes for kids) during this 3.1-mile race (half mile for kids). Strollers and pets are welcome for this family-friendly event!

    Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run
    Dec. 7, 2019


    Dubbed as the South’s toughest bridge run, the Enmarket Savannah Bridge Run offers plenty of options for runners of all skill levels. Savannah’s Talmadge Memorial Bridge is 1.4 miles, and participants can choose the 5K, 10K, or Double Pump races, the latter being three passes over the river. There’s also a race for kids! Live music, food, beer, and more will be in Franklin Square at the post-race party.

    March of Dimes Shamrock Run 5K

    What better way to kick off the St. Patrick’s Day festivities in Savannah than with the March of Dimes Shamrock Run? A run for kids takes place before 5K, and dogs are also welcome. Oh, and don’t forget your costume!

    Publix Women’s Half and 5K
    April 4, 2020

    These female-focused races wind through Savannah’s beautiful city squares in the springtime. Finishing at the iconic Forsyth Park Fountain, participants will receive local goodies, medals, and free admission to Yoga in the Square on the 5th. Don’t forget to hang out after the race for the post-race party in Forsyth Park with live music and awards!

    JCB Mudfest
    June 2020

    If you’re not afraid to get messy, this is the race for you. With more than 30 obstacles over each 5K and five-mile course, you’ll slip, slide, climb, and crawl your way to mud-covered victory! After the race, head to the Party Pit for music, food, beverages, and free beer for those over 21.
