Savannah Midtown

If you’re visiting Savannah, there’s nowhere better to stay than in the historic downtown district. In this area, you’re just footsteps from the best that Savannah has to offer. Walk along River Street. Visit the bustling City Market. Explore all of the city’s renowned squares. And, if you’re looking for somewhere to stay within the Historic District, there’s nowhere better than the newly renovated Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District. We went inside this reimagined historic building to learn all that it offers.

Walking in the front door.

As soon as you walk in the front door, you’re greeted by a casual, comfortable ambiance with elements of design that immediately reflect the surrounding city. A stunning mural of photos, commissioned from a local photographer of the nearby Georgia Roundhouse Railway Museum covers the space from wall to wall. This one-of-a-kind work of art served as a huge, inspirational piece for every aspect of the renovation, connecting the renovations to the unique history of this city. The pillars framing the windows are covered in a remarkably authentic faux brick called Arterra, which combines with the mural to create a fully urban industrial design feel. This space is an authentic, relaxed area that really sets the tone for the rest of the hotel.

Next to the front desk area, you’ll find the pantry. This 24/7 store offers quick bites you can enjoy at any time of day, and even stocks the famous Leopolds Ice Cream right in your hotel if you get a late-night sweet tooth.

Lounging in the lobby.

On the opposite side of the lobby from the living room, you’ll find the breakfast area and dining room. Here, you can enjoy a taste of the South before you even leave the hotel with a true Southern breakfast served every morning. The Garden Grille & Bar also serves dinner and provides room service to all of the rooms in the hotel. Here, you can grab an afternoon cocktail at the full Pavilion Bar before heading out on the town. And, since you’re located in the Historic District, you can ask Ann M., the bartender, for a to-go cup to take with you.

Meeting spaces galore.

Located adjacent to the dining area, you’ll find the meeting spaces that you can reserve for your next business trip to Savannah. Fully equipped with high-speed WiFi and connections to the large-format screen, you can give presentations, conduct meetings and do business all from the comfort of your hotel. These spaces have a private, modern feel with finishes and furniture that are comfortable and chic.

All the amenities.

For those of you looking to keep up your routine while in the city, you’ll find the workout room and pool on the second floor. The workout room provides the basics you need to break a sweat, and you’re just steps from the pool to cool off once you’re finished. The pool is located in its own secluded area where you can enjoy the Savannah sun in privacy during the hot summer months.

In the rooms.

Inside your room, you’ll find meticulous design and little details that are sure to create a comfortable, luxurious environment for your stay. The rich colors in the room contrast with the railroad-inspired design elements to create an atmosphere of residential sophistication where it’s easy to rejuvenate from a long day of work or exploration.

One of the best features at the Hilton Garden Inn Savannah Historic District is the electronic key you can use through the HHonors app. No more having to ask the front desk for extra keys! But when you do need something from the front desk, you’re given a number you can text and ask for things like towels, soaps and more. Your request will be forwarded directly to the front desk without you ever having to leave your room!

Despite its location in one of the most popular areas of the city, the hustle and bustle outside will never disturb your rest due to the thoughtfully placed complimentary sound machines located in every room.

It’s little touches like these that really add up to an incredible experience.
