Cuisine is almost a religion in Savannah, and good cuisine comes from fresh, wholesome ingredients. These Savannah specialty food stores offer everything from local, organic ingredients to adventurous and exotic foods.

    The Salt Table

An award-winning tasting experience in Historic Savannah and at the new Tanger Outlets Savannah/Pooler. Upon entering The Salt Table, you’ll discover why Trip Advisor® consistently ranks The Salt Table the top spot in Savannah shopping. The aroma of the salts and seasonings will wake up your taste buds. Fortunately, you’ll also be encouraged to sample not only the salt and seasoning blends, but hundreds of other flavors, including loose tea, sugars, oils, vinegars, popcorn, pecans, and much more. Salt Table’s Flavor Consultants often conduct impromptu “Salt Talks” about the products, such as the Himalayan Salt Plates used as cutting boards and cooking stones. Samples of specially brewed tea and fresh popcorn by the bag are available on the spot. You will also find highly acclaimed Georgia Grown® products such as pecans, ginger products, honey, coffee, oils, jellies and jams, cookies, snacks, and sauces—all made in Georgia. Local art, photography, and handcrafted pottery are also on display to complete the Georgia experience. The Salt Table also offers amazing Georgia wines by the bottle. The award-winning wines range from fine dry reds and whites from the North Georgia mountains to sweet Lowcountry fruit wines. Wine tasting is currently offered only in the downtown Savannah store. The Salt Table is a Savannah original. Salt Table products are hand-blended and packaged locally. The unique blends have won flavor competitions and have been featured nationally, including in Paula Deen’s magazine, and Georgia Traveler magazine picked the Grillin’ Blend as a “Flavor of the State.” Recently, The Salt Table garnered “Retailer of the Year” and “Entrepreneur of the Year” and was winner of the Flavor of Georgia competition. Savannah is known for its unique shops and boutiques, but a few stand out as must-dos. The Salt Table is on the top of that list—a truly one-of-a-kind experience. You’ll quickly understand why The Salt Table has garnered so many awards, 5-star reviews, and endless accolades. The Salt Table is open seven days a week at 51 Barnard Street, Savannah, Georgia, between Broughton Street and Ellis Square.
